Dare 2B Different Fashion Showcase - November 4th | Doors open at 6 pm

4 Paws Sake Retreat was honored to be a sponsor for last year's 1st annual Dare 2B Different Fashion Showcase, raising awareness and funds for Camp Bucko. I had the privilege that evening to meet some of the camp counselors and volunteers and as I was listening to some of their stories, I was overwhelmed and honored to be a part of this event. I left that evening knowing that this was an event that I wanted to be a part of again. I am excited to announce that 4 Paws Sake Retreat will again be a proud sponsor of this year's Dare 2B Different Fashion Showcase. Beautiful Joe

The Beautiful Joe Heritage Society, along with with the help of the Grey-Bruce Arts Collective, is bringing the story of Beautiful Joe to the stage in his hometown of Meaford, Ontario from May 14-17. Beautiful Joe is the true story of a mongrel dog who escapes a life of cruelty, abuse and torture. After being rescued by Laura, his soon to be life-long human companion, Joe confronts his fears and through an incredible act of bravery, becomes Canada's first pet hero. Canadian author Margaret Marshall Saunders wrote the story in 1893 following a visit to Meaford, Ontario, the home of the real Beautiful Joe. Her story became the first Canadian novel to be printed in several different languages and sell over a million copies.

We are a proud to sponsor the play as a St. Bernard Benefactor. To learn more about the play or to make a donation, please click here.
